Now here's why you mustn't tell Kristie! If you've visited my gallery recently, you might have noticed I've been lamenting the fact that the set 'Always' is not in the house, but my neighbor, Kristie, had gotten it. Well, last week I got home and found the set with a note...I was welcome to borrow it and to have fun! However, it hadn't been mounted...how could I ink her uninked stamps...nope just couldn't do it...until this afternoon. I noticed the awesome Always card in Becky's gallery...and an IDEA was born...what if I used mirror images for THE bird and heart...I'd find another always sentiment (take a look at the big birdies in my gallery) and it wouldn't really be too bad for Kristie.So...
This is what I did. My base is Cosmo Cricket ALWAYS double sided paper!!! I made panels from K&co peach diamonds and bordered them with MME 29st Market Fountain of Youth and distressed the edges. I stamped a border from Fancy Pants in the garden with espresso Adirondack ink. I cut in and out of the border to create a fancy edge. The other panel is Cosmo cricket journey. I stamped another border from the FP set in espresso and embossed in clear ep. I cut around this also for the visual edge. I used the word ALWAYS masked from a Penny Black stamp. Now the heart and bird are REVERSE stamped...I can't tell you how many times I tried this until I got images that I was happy with..but eventually I won!!! THAT gorgeous bird is stamped on aqua MME paper in Brilliance Rocket Red ink and embossed in clear, the heart in Brilliance Moonlight White onto brown DP. I added fiber in the corner with a clip and the twill tape and lace at the bottom.
Thanks for sticking with my story and oh, by the way, Kristie, this one's for you!!!

Loved your story and your card is fabulous! Lucky you, to have a stamping friend (who shares!), next door. Too much fun! All the details on your card are wonderful.

OMGosh, this is so artsy. It's got so many textures and layers. It kinda reminds of artsy vintage! How's that for a new term? Just perfect, I tell you!
