This is for Beate's weekend sketch challenge. I flipped the sketch a bit - originally the sentiment panel should have been on the left side.
To make my main image panel, I started with a piece of plain Confetti White cardstock. I stamoed the image in Black Stazon, and colored it using inks and a blender pen. Then I masked it (not as bad to cut out the mask as I anticipated) and started on the background. I used two techniques - for the first layer I crumpled up a piece of saran wrap and dabbed it on my ink pad, stamped it off on scratch paper, and then daubed it on my panel unitl it was covered the way I wanted. Next I wadded up a bit of toilet paper and did repeated the process. I did the sam eprocess on the sentiment tag, using a different color.
Each panel is edged in its corresponding ink, and the white panel is edged in Wasabi. On the card base, I inked up the Floral bg and *fingerwalked* over it to create a kind of vintage-feel, soft bg.
