 | | For this weeks sketch challenge, I played with a new technique (for me at least!) using crystal effects. I stamped a bunch of technique tuesday butterfly stamps on one side of a transparency. After it dried, I turned it over and put about a quarter size puddle of crystal effects in the middle of the image area.
Then on one side of the c.e. puddle, I put one drop of a dye reinker and on the other side of the puddle I put a drop of another color reinker. Then I used a paint brush to spread the c.e. and reinkers out over the whole image area. Before the c.e. dried, I sprinkled a little clear glitter on top.
Finally I took a piece of white tissue paper that was big enough to cover the image area and crumpled it. I smoothed it out and put that down over the c.e./ink/glitter to glue it in place. I used the results for the rectangle panels. It was a fun technique to play with a bit! |
