This page gave me the most difficulty. I definitely bit off more than I could chew. I don't have the talent/expertise to pull off the technique I was going for and this is what I ended up with. I wanted the background to look like the green velvetly moss I have growning in the cracks of my brick drive. I first mounted the completed page on Old Olive and my son was blown away by all the green. He suggested I try a different color cardstock so I carefully disassembled it and went with Orchid Opulence. His offended eyes found that much more pleasing! (I did too, actually).
This page is my dear mother-in-law's favorite, she loves the vibrant colors. I placed Swarovski pearls on the hydrangea on the page itself and placed Swarovski crystals on the hydrangea mounted on the calendar. The butterfly was painted on a separate piece of watercolor paper using pearl ex and gum arabic. I cut him out and adhered his abdomen to the calendar page, bending his wings up for more dimension. I traced around the edges of the hydrangea on the calendar with Copic Spica markers that I purchased at Ellen Hutson's store.

I have a very difficult time choosing, but I think this one might be my favourite too. I just LOVE the look of Hydrangeas and I really love the vivid color and the velvet look of the moss. Don't kid yourself...there is nothing lacking in your ability. The OO layer is the perfect match too.

Jerri, did you hear my Wow?!? What vibrant colors, gorgeous coloring and love the final touch dimensional touch with your butterfly. I just can not even imagine how gorgeous this is IRL. TFS
