what a lovely challenge...the Double Irish Chain Shamrock Quilt, certainly stitched by loving hands. I took that as my inspiration...friends quilting every moment after chores were done...sharing their time and talents. I had no St Patricks' stamps...so I studied a piece of scrapbook paper with shamrocks...I notice the leaves were like hearts...in a pattern of three...now my search was on...find a heart stamp that would be the right scale...make a shamrock.
I stamped my shamrock on GP white cs. My heart is from the Cherub set by Crafty Secrets. I used ColorBox Moss Green ink and embossed in clear ep. The stem is a swirl from the Fancy Pants in the Garden...I attached these pieces with a flower brad from MM. The sentiment is Inkadinkadoo a quote from La Rochefoucauld. I inked this in VersaMagic Aloe Vera and stamped onto white cs. My scalloped mat is pieced to fit. I have some awesome new MME paper, called Fresh Outdoors Natural Print, (LOVE IT!) which I used for the mat and the scalloped rectangle. My white is shimmer white and I also used a bit of vintage German silver scrap.
Thanks to Stef for a thought provoking challenge. What do you think of my take?
I am editing in case it is hard to read the sentiment..."A true friend is the rarest of all blessings"
