For Laurel's "imagination" challenge - to scrap about the future or imagination. I chose to scrap what's on my mind lately--which is the future and some of my hopes.
Journaling reads: IÂ’m a planner, a list maker. I like to know whatÂ’s coming so I can prepare for it. I like having an idea of what the future will be. Well, the thing about the future is things change when you least expect it and I canÂ’t live planning for it anymore. I didnÂ’t plan on Autism and itÂ’s changed everything about how I live my life and how I plan and see the future. IÂ’ve had to slow it down, break it down. Take it one step at a time and one day at a time. Deal with NOW and agree to deal with LATER when it happens. If I think too far ahead I wonder and worry about all the bad things that could happen. SO--since the beginning of the year IÂ’ve been trying to live everyday for that day and be positive. Celebrate our little victories and celebrate the things Rocco is learning and the new skills he develops. I have to believe that everything I am doing will help him. I hope that the reason behind what is causing this rapid increase in Autism is discovered so it can be stopped. I hope that more people will be educated on Autism and therefore become more understanding and have compassion for every child and adult with special needs. I hope that Rocco has a bright and happy future and that he knows without a doubt just how deeply his mommy loves him.

WOW! A very special page - I'm with you on all the HOPES you have for the future of Austism research and your HOPES for Rocco. I love the photo with the path leading into the future! Great embellishments - they really add to the page without taking attention away from your heartfelt journalling! I'm so glad you were able to take this challenge and make it so meaningful. Thanks for playing!
