I knew that I wanted to use the Wild Wasabi cardstock promotion for this month's stamp club plus I still had all of those Sticky Cuts "H" letters from the bulk buy....but what to do? what do to? This is what I came up with. The precut and pre-scored textured cardstock is perfect for pocket cards! So we put "hi" on the outside (happy wouldn't fit!) and the Whimsy cake on the inside. I tried to photograph it so that you could see the pull out and the pocket all at once. This is the view with the card pulled out of the pocket.
Those sticky letters....well, they certainly are sticky! But once you get the backing off and get them in place, they aren't going anywhere and neither is the glitter! For the "i" I cut a small strip of cardstock and punched out a "dot" from the matching strip of Cutie Pie DP.
Used the Totally Tabs stamp set and the round tab punch to make the "pull tab" on the inside card. I love that set and that punch!
For those who may be wondering about a "template" for this style of card, there is no template and it really couldn't be more simple. Just cut an 8.5x11" sheet of cardstock in half lengthwise (making a 4.25x11" piece, score it in half and fold then score down about in or so and fold that flap down. I used the corner rounder on the bottom corners then attached a strip of DSP and stuck it down. Just used sticky strip (so it would hold really well) along the inside edge on both sides on the piece with the flap) and folded up the bottom and that's all she wrote! Had to trim the insert a little smaller than the pocket to avoid getting stuck in the adhesive.
