Todays IC was a blue room, serene and tidy. It reminded me of my grandmothers' bedroom..always blue in every house I ever remember. I was inspired by the texture of the fence, the bedspread, the framed hearts, the wicker. I wanted to create that peaceful feeling in my card.
Su's In Color, soft sky was the perfect blue for me...I began at the bottom with the Fiskars scallop lace punch. The next two layers are ornamental borders from Paper Inspirations. I inked both in soft sky, embossing the larger floral in clear. I created the three word art by cutting rectangle nestabilities to size. I stamped the Art Impressions words on soft sky paper with ColorBox turquoise and embossing in clear. These are matted onto the scallops. I inked the edges of both the scallops and the words, one with Chalkbox alasbaster and the other with charcoal. The little "day" tag is unknown pinned onto the larger Happy panel. At the top of the card, I once again stamped the Paper Inspirations border and added a ribbon which has a touch of the pinky red . I reversed it so it is faint. My sanctuary is at top, embossed in Superior Fine Art Powder, Mica Platinum.
We all need a sanctuary, a blue room, to refresh us and inspire us...

I love your fascinating creations each day - they are so refreshing, and this is no exception!! I always had a nice blue room growing up... but I find that I have inherited a nearly surgical green room from my son - to stamp in. However, I can really tune out my environment - so it's okay!
This is really lovely Sunsan - so creative - it's so fun to have your input nearly every day!
