For Kim Andersen's Altered Playing Card + INCHIE swap. I got these great gargoyle pictures from COLLEGE STUFF (http://www.collagestuff.com/) - I love her ATC ephemera!!
I titled this one LA VIE EN ROSE (Life in Pink) because it's the "Paris Song" and I could just see these gargoyles looking at life in Paris from their great heights wearing rose colored glasses!
This was an experiment in total. I decoupaged the gargoyles down with mod podge. After they were dry - I scraped some gesso along the bottom for texture. Then used Distressed Inks (Aged Mahogany, Old Paper and Tattered Rose) to add some color over the gesso. A bit of sequin blank and a shiny black Eiffel Tower (also from Collage Stuff).
For the inchie - I sponged a second sheet of gargoyles with pink and then glued a FRAGMENT (from Tim Holtz's collection) over the gargoyle face. After it was dry I placed it in the appropriate place!
No two alike!!
TFL!!
