I have been playing around with different ways to get more colorful candles and decided to break out the markers with a line image set to see what would happen. I was really impressed with how well this came out because once I finished the coloring on the tissue paper it seemed very dull and flat, but when it was melted onto the candle it really brightened up. I apologize for the darkness of the picture, but I could not find a happy medium on my camera when shooting this one, the colors are really vibrant in person.
I inked the morning glory image with basic black ink after masking off the phrase at the bottom of the stamp and coloring it in with marker. Once I stamped the image I used multiple markers to color it in then just let it dry for a few minutes before trying to cut it out. If you do this, I suggest making sure you have a good, absorbent paper underneath your tissue because a lot of ink is going to bleed through.
The phrase was stamped using Basic Grey ink, and the ribbon is a piece of extra ribbon that I kept from a votive candle package. I really like this candle and the overall look of it, and plan on making more of these for gifts in the future.
Thanks for looking!

That is beautiful. I'm gonna have to give it a try. What a wonderful gift this will make.
