Well I did this, now I have read just about everything I could search for on the net.. spoke to people.. my SU Demo and tried my hand on it.
I read somewhere someone suggested to tape the edges and then sprak with clear acrylic sealer so that it will absorb the water.. My one thing I found is that when I pulled the tape up it started to pull the sealer up.. So I ended up sealing the whole tile and because I work at a dealership I had the body shop put them in the fire booth and baked them while a fender was being done.. So now I am not sure of them absorbing the water. I was given a suggestion of lightly sanding them before stamping because some tiles already have that sealer on them..
So any suggestions on the pealing prob?
I used Stampin Pastels to color, as I'm not super sure on the tech of using Stazon inks.. So again any suggestions on coloring with those other than with a sponge dauber?
I am so loving the look of how they came out.. I did them for a friend as a gift who loves lighthouses. Almost didnt send them.. hhahahahah
These tiles I purchased at Lowes. The bottoms I found at HD some Vinyl bumpers which I liked a lot better than the felt ones.
TFL!
