This is a card that I made for my dear SCS friend Anne (jdmommy)! I was wanting to make her a Valentine's Day card and I wanted to do something non-traditional. I used MFT's 16th sketch challenge and CC152- Real Apricot Blues, just enough red to make the perfect Valentine!
I used MFT's Boho Blossoms and Happy Occasions. On the brilliant blue layers, I stamped the Happy bg, from the Happy Occasions set, in real red. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the background stamped evenly- I can't believe I haven't used this thing more!!! The apricot layer was run through my cuttlebug with the Divine Swirls embossing folder. The main heart image (from Boho Blossoms) was stamped in real red on whisper white cs. The sentiment is from Happy Occasions, and is stamped in brilliant blue. I sponged apricot appeal around the edges of the panel. All of the layers are matted with real red cs. The tiny hearts to the left of the main image panel are stamped in real red on apricot appeal cs. They were cut out and adhered with mini pop dots. I tied a piece of real red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon around the top brilliant blue panel.
I am really happy with how the card turned out and am so happy that Anne likes it! Thanks for looking and I hope you like it too!
