Sarah has such a great gallery, I didn't know where to start. The one I finally picked is CC143 by sarah green at Splitcoaststampers
I changed the stamps (most of them), the colors, the shape (from square to rectangle) and the CB embossing folder. I kept her great layout and the use of the acetate.
Now I do realize that my Bluebird is mostly green, but Greenbird didn't have the same ring. Besides, most green birds look like my parrots and this definitely isn't a parrot.
What I did: I scribbled markers directly onto the bird stamp, misted and stamped. I did a few highlights w/ a white gel pen and dotted w/ stickles. The two white panels were done w/ my new Nestabilities dies and the lt blue panel was embossed using a Fiskars plate and white chalk ink lightly rubbed on top. I did this to the main teal panel as well after using the CB swirl folder on it.
The green and ochre bands are pretty simple, just a little border stamped on the ochre and dots w/ a teal glaze pen. The ribbon was colored w/ markers because it was white to begin with. The acetate was stamped w/ Stazon white ink and edged w/ a Permopaque white marker.
I made the corner elements because I didn't have a punch or anything like this. The sentiment was punched and layered onto a piece I used the scalloped circle cookie cutter die on (Quickutz). TFL
