Yesterday a new friend of mine invited me to lunch at a lovely eclectic restaurant, where we had a good time and enjoyed a delicious meal. This is the thank you card I made for her.
Today's Inspiration Challenge (IC113) is a photo of a living room furnished in creams and pale blues. It can be seen here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I used the color pallette and picked up on the round scalloped rug. Since I don't own any fancy machines like Nestabilities or even scalloped punches, I had to improvise. I cut out the large circle with a Coluzzle, and used the small slot punch on the inside to get the scallops. Then I punched tiny holes with a 1/16 punch.
I stamped a pale piece of BasicGrey CS (Periphery) with the new Sanded BG stamp, using Tim Holz Distress Ink in Antique Linen. The panel underneath is another piece of DP from Junkitz.
I wanted to use my Cheesecloth BG stamp on the back layer but since I couldn't find it, I used a piece of real cheesecloth instead, swiping the same Tim Holz ink over it. I like that even better!
Thanks for looking!
Maddy

This is so lovely. What a labor of love - great way to do the scallops - and that real cheesecloth gives such an ethereal look (I think that is the word I am looking for!).
