This is my first Dahlia fold card - what an awesome technique! I really enjoyed learning this one today. I also learned how to make the large scalloped edge with the slit punch - another great technique! I didn't get a chance to do last weeks' technique challenge - Pixie Pouch, so I took advantage of that and combined today's challenge with it to make this card.
All of the paper came from my huge scraps pile, so I don't know who made the patterned paper. I stamped Aida Cloth BG to provide a little visual texture to the Dahlia fold. I dotted white pearl fabric paint on the flower itself and the corners of the matting - I hope you can see that. I used a sponge dauber on the scalloped portion and on the card base to provide better contrast of layers.
This one was alittle time-consuming because I was learning a couple of new techniques today, but I had alot of fun with this one.
Thanks Dannie, for hosting today's challenge and introducing me to a great technique...
And thank you for taking a closer look at my card - I really appreciate it!
