Well, here's a story. My friend, Tater, aka Phyllis, loaned me a cross stitch pattern, which I am thoroughly enjoying working on. During the night, I had a vision. This card is it. Here is a link to the cross stitch pattern:
Our dear friend, Doug Becker, just this past summer lost his wife of 52 years. To add insult to injury, he now has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and is undergoing radiation therapy in Florida. He had just arrived in Fla. from Michigan in time to beat out the cold and is staying in his travel trailer near his daughter's home. He will not be beaten, tho. He is coming to Texas in April to meet his newest great grandson who will be born at the end of March.
He gets such a kick out of us Texans and our Texas pride, I thought this card would be right up his alley. Windmills and Texas. Can't get any better than that! Inside sentiment says "Sending you a big ol' Texas hug"
