This is for the January Dirty Dozen challenge to use velvet. I've had a few pieces of velveteen paper for a long time and have never used it because I was a little intimidated! I ran it through my cuttlebug and was tickled to death how it embosses and cuts! I used textile on sage shadow and sponged it with bashful blue. Then stylized flower on the velveteen, backed with bashful blue and sponged. Then another piece embossed with a smaller flower folder and backed with sage sponged with bashful and put two rhinestone brads through it. Two more pieces of velveteen to cut out the corners at the bottom. I did a poor job (you should see the back!) of the Japanese slab binding technique at the top. And then made the little frame for the sentiment and hung it from the binding with silver cord. I love how this turned out and will use this paper again now that I've practiced! Hope you like it and TFL!
