I invented this frame entirely out of cardstock. It holds a 4 x 6 inch photograph, in either portrait or landscape mode, and without the need to cut the photo to fit. Two word window punchouts are glued together and halfway up at the bottom of the easel. You fold this at 90 degrees and insert into another piece glued to the bottom of the back of the frame to hold the frame up.
Mahoganizing is a brand new technique I created to give the photo frame as much of the look and feel of mahogany wood as you can with cardstock. It consists of stippling ruby red and chocolate chip inks over the frames, smooshing Versamark over the area and clear-embossing.
The most difficult and time-consuming part of this project was the trial-and-error phase necessary to bring the frame to an acceptable level.
