Love this challenge! I actually use various acrylic paints quite often. Wish I'd had this done a little sooner, but I had some trouble with this. I was determined to have this horizontal layout and the sentiment just would not fit as it was. Finally, I split it up and what you see is the only way I could force it to work.
The bg is acrylic paint. I used the scraped paint tech where you put some dots of paint onto the c/s and scrape it across (or down or both) with an old credit card or similar item, being careful not to muddy the colors too much. After I did the blue and greens, I wanted a little shimmer. So I scraped some gold shimmer (translucent acrylic paint) over the top.
The metallic gold embossed piece is leftover from another recent card. The fairy with the bird image is stamped onto vellum. I stamped this twice and cut out the wings of the second one and attached them on top. The top wings were traced w/ the green glaze pen and filled in w/ the clear glitter gel pen.
Underneath this image, I punched out a large circle of a scrap piece of ivory paper and sponged on some of the lemon and mustard ink. I overstamped it w/ the image and put the vellum image on top, slightly off to look like a shadow. I made the green frame by tracing large circles, cutting the outside w/ scallop scissors and cutting the inside out. This is all layered 4 times on various colors then onto the paint bg.
The sentiment is on vellum as well and attached to more of the metallic gold. It was pierced and attached. The ribbon is actually a gold color though it looks slightly orange here. I used a gold leaf pen around the edge of the scraped paint bg and put dots around the scallop frame w/ the gold gel pen. TFL
p.s. I will save today's story of the big red clown shoes for another time. It's pretty late tonight. Y'all just remind me about it.
