I've got a 14 year old son who still thinks it's cool to get a Valentine from his mom, so this will be his card this year. I think he'll like it.
Quite some time ago, I printed out Valerie Stangle's (11valerie11) instructions for her Joy-Fold Card, but never made one. Well, I finally did it with this card. (Here are her instructions for the card using the Scor-Pal. http://www.scor-pal.com/projects3/in...es/Page497.htm)
I started out with the 5.5 x 4.25 Chocolate Chip base. The next layer is a 4.0 x 7.5 (scored at 2.25) Very Vanilla layer. On the 2.25 x 4 part of the Very Vanilla, I added a piece of Boyfriend designer paper. The next layer is the 2.5 x 9 3/8 (scored at 5 1/ Chocolate Chip layer. (What happens here is that you untie the bow and the striped paper side opens to the left and the Chocolate Chip side opens to the right.) On the Chocolate Chip layer, I stamped the Sanded background stamp with Chocolate Chip ink for a little bit of depth. I added some Hodgepodge Hardware and Hemp Twine on the Chocolate Chip panel. (Before adhering the Very Vanilla panel, I added some Hemp Twine with a bit of Sticky Strip on the back.)
I traced the arrow chipboard piece onto Charmed dp, cut it out and glued the two together with Mod Podge. Once dry, I sanded the edges, adhered the Love You rub-on and adhered the arrow to the panel. Finally, I added a Chocolate Chip eyelet, an S-ring and the charm.
I think it's a fun card to give my son. TFL - Regina
