My dog, Rusty, died unexpectedly from a heart attack while I was at the SU convention in Las Vegas (2003). We never saw this coming. My 22-year old son was watching Rusty while we were away and called us on the 1st day of the convention with the terrible news. The whole thing was so very tragic for all of us. The Rainbow Bridge poem brought us some comfort. Days after my Rusty died, there was a rainbow in the sky. I didn't want that rainbow to go away. Lot's of tears were spent. I think the rainbow was Rusty's way of telling me that he was waiting for us until we could join him and that he was okay. Karbry-Thanks for posting this very meaningful poem.

I received this poem after my dog died last month. I really love the way you decorated it. It adds a nice touch to such a wonderful poem. Thank you for sharing. It was nice to read this again. I love the poem, although I still miss my baby so much!!!

Thank you from all of the animal lovers out here. As Lynann has said, and many of us believe our pets will be waiting to cross the rainbow bridge when we get there to meet them. I've seen ever so many beautiful rainbows since the death of my husband and shortly after our beloved Pomeranian "Aceman". But none so big and beautiful as the rainbow that came out last Easter sunday after a big rain. Our family always had dinner here at my house and this was no acception. As the kids were packing up to go home that day the biggest rainbow I had ever seen took up the entire sky directly across the road and we knew it was Gramps and Ace up there saying "Hello" were here, we didn't miss the dinner today.
Thank you for posting the lovely poem and stamping work.

This is so beautiful...I made a card for a women I work with whose Peke just died last weekend. The card was completely computer-generated so didn't post it. I used last two sentences of this poem and everytime I read it I cried.

Great idea! This poem is included in all the sympathy cards sent by my vet (I used to work there as a CVT). Love what you've done with it to make it a bit more special.
