I cased this from page 43. These are difficult to make and they don't stay together very well--even with Sticky Strip! But they look fun and add a little something to my sample area!

1) I cut designer series paper between 2 & 3 inches wide and approx 7-8 inches long...you can vary it depending upon how big you want them.
2) Fold the long sides of the paper so that it overlaps wide enough for your ahdesive--I used Snail for this
3) Fold one short end over-two steps to this and I'll try to be clear: wehn you fold the short end over, you'll have three layers of paper: to top layer, the middle layer that will attach to the bottom layer. First, use sticky strip to adhere the middle layer to the bottom layer. Next, use sticky strip to adhere the top layer to the middle layer. I think this will be more clear once you see it!
4) I could only find bendy straws so I cut the bendable portion off.
5) Approx 2" from the end of the straw, I put sticky strip around the straw.
6) Insert the straw into the open end of your paper. Cut a small strip--approx 1/4" of your paper and use sticky strip to wrap the paper around the straw.
7) To curl the paper, I lightly misted it with water, curled it and left it to dry.
HERE'S the deal: this was time consuming to make. I've found that they don't recurl so well after you blow them straight. Have fun!
