I made this card for my husband's aunt who has been very sick and she's been in and out of the hospital several times this past month.
I was reading somewhere that you can take your scraps from when you mount your stamps and use them to make a background stamp. I also read that you can put them in a cd case, but that didn't work for me because my cd case wasn't bid enough. I mounted my rubber scraps to a wood block measuring 6 1/4" x 5". I never saw a card made using this type of background (although I'm sure there's some out there), so I decided to give it a try.
I inked the background stamp and then used my spritzer tool and spritzed some ink on the background stamp and then I stamped my paper. The SU stamp set I used is an older one from 2000 called 'Wishing Well'.
Thanks for looking.

Cool homemade background stamp! It coordinated perfectly with the stonework on the well. I'll have to start saving my rubber scraps to see what I can make.

This card is fantastic. I'm going to have to try a homemade background..this is very cool. I have seen small versions of scraps used for stamping, but this big one great idea!
