Today is Technique Lover's Challenge, my very fav! I was so excited to see we could take a trip down *memory lane* and pick any technique among the 149 already done. This is my second card for today, and I chose TLC #14, Faux Metal.
I started with a 6x6 square of MFT DP called Echo, in soothing greens. I stamped a Judikins bg stamp in Handsome Hunter craft ink, and embossed with detail clear. Then I stamped the same image on another similar sheet of DP, and cut out and popped up several sections, some 2 and 3 layers thick. Happy Birthday is done in the Faux Metal technique, by alternating layers of Metallic Green Pearl EP and Ranger's Holographic EP- I think about 6 or 8 layers- I lost track! I inked up the stamp in Versamark and pressed it into the final layer of the hot EP. Finally, I scattered clear and ruby red Swarovski crystals around the card.
This card is for a glitzy and glamorous artist friend of mine with contemporary tastes. I hope she likes it.
Thanks for looking!

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
