This is my DH's grandmother Ruth when she was 11. She will be 90 on the 26th and we are hosting her celebration. Gram is amazing. She was widowed at a young age, and took a job at a local hospital to get by. She remained single most of her life, but married again 17 yrs ago to Mr. Mills- the special ed teacher at our high school. He also had an adult son with special needs, and Gram took great care of both of them. They are now both gone and Gram lives alone. She's as sharp as a tack, and gave up driving this year before the DMV could tell her to! LOL! She's got spunk.
Can't wait til her party. My DH (Bubba) has taken all of the old family pictures, going back to around 1910 and made a wonderful video of her life. It is quite amusing! Not the 'usual' wedding or funeral videos he has done. By the way, Gram's older sister, (Aunt Edie to us), who is 95 will be at the party! Ya-hoo!

Gram is going to have a great party. I am sure she and Aunt Edie will do lots of reminiscing after viewing the video. Did Bubba make her a buckle for this special occasion?

No Shirley- no buckle for this one! I think after that last one he will have to give it a rest! He's just too bad! TFL!

Oh pat, how wonderfully special is this photo! what a beautiful testimony to her character. Wow, she was really pretty as a young woman! Must be that's where Buckle Man got his good looks!
