Well Karen likes to see us use our imagination and thatÂ’s what I did with this one. The books reminded me of steps, the flower and pot - a big harvest moon, the drawersÂ’ - doors the over all photo for some reason made me think of a Victorian house and the painting well LOOK AT ALL THE COLOR! And this is my end result! I was definitely using the imagination with this one!
-The houses and moon are water colored with re inkers and artist brush.
-The sky is done with pad ink and sponges and the stars are stamped on.
-I cut a circle from a post it note, lined it up over the houses and sponged on the color from the bottom up so the lighter color goes on first. Then I start the darker color from the top and work down with less going on the paper as you meet the lighter color and just a bit over the lighter portion for a nice blending effect. In the past I used a brayer for my skies (like my very first upload) but this method seems to give me more control.
-I do have a background image on the navy but it doesnÂ’t show in the photo.
I tried several different embellishments but I thought it took away from the scene so I settled for a white border and nothing else.
This is not leaving my house; itÂ’s getting framed for my stamp room.

Very, VERY cool card! I love all the colors and the feeling it evokes. I'm with you, I'd frame it and enjoy it too. Thanks for the description of how you made it.
