I made these for a baby shower gift for a friend. Since she will be living in Japan (military) when she has the baby, and she doesn't know what the sex is of the baby, I wanted to make her some announcements that she can personalize when she does find out what he/she is. First, I wanted to use the basic colors. White with black accents was clear, but the color was added with a "unixex" look in mind. She'd mentioned that she loved green and blue, hence the green vine with a blue (brocade blue) flower. The tedddy was a good choice, used for both sexes. The "oh baby" was a $1 stamp from Mikes. The thing that personalizes this is the foot prints. I did 14 cards in total, and with each comes one set of pink footprints and one set of blue. I used the plastic ziplock bags, trimmed to fit, (used for beading) as the holder for the footprint inserts. Clever huh?? When she finds out the sex, inset the correct color and BAM, she's got herself a set of announcements. The inside is a large stamp I've had for a while, stamped in green to accent the colors from the front. I hope you like them and I hope she loves them.
As always, thanks for looking!!!
