A group of us are having some individual challenges this Holiday weekend. One of the challenges was to pull an old stamp set off the shelf and knock off the dust. My all time favorite has to be Roses in Winter. Whenever I lack for inspiration, I can always stamp a card with Roses in Winter and fall back into my old groove. I have to say, this card was fun to stamp. I pulled out some old backgrounds that haven't been used in a long time and had fun mixing and mingling all the different stamps. To update Roses in Winter, I used the largest flair from Priceless for the stems, some of the new in colors, and a new updated sentiment.
Once the roses were stamped, Linen was overstamped in Antique Linen Distress Ink. For the background, Flannel Plaid was stamped in Old Olive, French Script was overstamped in Vintage Photo distress ink. Edges of the cardstock were sponged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink

Gosh, this card is so, so pretty. I love RIW, too.... The brads across the top is a wonderful idea and adds such a nice finishing touch to the card... beautiful!
