First tear a mask for the horizon, and brayer the lightest color.
Punch a mask for the moon, and brayer the other sky colors in. Sponge a darker color along the horizon to define the edge. Remove the mask.
Ink up the tree stamp with a medium ink. To get a reverse image shadowed on the snow, brayer the ink off the inked stamp, turn the card upside down, then roller each stamped image separately onto the snow, cleaning the roller in between. (My lovely tree shadow is hardly visible, but it is there!)
Lastly stamp the trees on the horizon in the darkest color to line up with your shadows, then stamp a greeting, if desired.
Add snow with white gel pen.
I wasn't clear at first whether to move the mask with with each color, but realized the colors blend when each layer of color overlaps as it is rolled on.
Inspired by the wonderful tutorial ~ hadn't had the brayer out for years, but am planning a class with brayering ~ thanks Michelle Z.!
