I'm so excited about my little paint can - I made this for the Jan08VSNmini9 challenge. It's the first time I've decorated a pail. This is a small quart pail.
I made all these things for my secret santa at work - she speaks English but her first language is Spanish - so I used my Spanish stamps for some of the labels on things.
I used so many things on all of this 'stuff'! I'll try to describe it all!
I used SU DP on the pail itself and many ribbons and fibers - I attached a key from my DH so that the lid could be opened easily - you can see it hanging on the left -
I used a library pocket to house a gift card from Dunkin Donuts -
I made her 4 'Gracias' cards (see my one layer pine tree cards in my gallery) and put them in a clear box then attached a strip of DP around it to 'wrap' it.
I made some fudge and wrapped it inside 2 scalloped circles taped together and tied with ribbon - see instructions for this on Nicole's blog at Papertrey web site. here:http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capt...2007/12/4.html
I used my nestabilities to make the circles attached to the can as well as the top.
I stamped snowmen faces and punched them out and attached them to York peppermint patties then put them in a clear envelope with a folded scalloped circle top.
I put some nuggets in a box I made that is covered with an acetate sleeve from a tutorial here on SCS seen here: Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
Everything will fit in the pail accept for the card set and the gift card which I'll attach on the outside.
I love how all this came out and I can't wait until Evelyn opens it all - I hope she likes it!
TFL!!
