I just got my 'Fancy Florals' set from Verve Visual. I SO love these flowers! I stamped several different sizes of the floral images, then cut each of them out, sponged the edges, attached each layer using dimensionals, then added Copper Stickles to the edges of the assembled flower. Once the Stickles was dry, I arranged the flowers on the card, then finished it all off with some ribbon and a large 'poof'. I used seven different kinds of ribbon for the 'poof', and used only scraps from my ribbon-scrap jar. I have a jar full of nothing but ribbon scraps, and save even the tiniest pieces, which get used up when I put together a 'poof'. I start with the scrap-jar first, then cut what I need off of the rolls of ribbon. If I'm using scraps, I figure it just leaves a bit more $$ to spend on other goodies! The ivory horizontal layer was run through a Cuttlebug embossing folder, then sponged with Close to Cocoa ink. The edges of this layer were also distressed to give it more of a worn look. I also used my 'Gretel' paper, by Cosmo Cricket, for the first time.....love the aged, vintage look of these papers.
I hope you enjoy this creation. Thanks for looking, and have a great day!!
