These coaster boxes are a wonderful option for us to use when giving small gifts for Christmas. They're 4x4x4, so they'll hold a couple of candles or socks or perfume or jewelry or whatever. My co-worker, who asked me to make this, is going to give it as a hostess gift with a small poinsettia inside (with a protective dish to prevent moisture from getting on the coasters). Here's the link to Taylor's tutorial. Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers She does a great job with the step-by-step process, so what are you waiting for?
I used this wonderful Vintage Ornaments dp by BasicGrey to cover the coasters. The ribbon is Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain and the chipboard ornament is from BasicGrey's Holiday Chipboard assortment. I covered the chipboard ornament with Old Olive Craft Ink and dumped on Christmas Sparkle embossing powder. I tapped off the excess and heat set it. Wow...does it sparkle! I stamped the Christmas stamp from the Circle of Friendship stamp set with Cranberry Crisp ink on Barely Banana cs and punched out just the center with my 1/2" circle punch. It's mounted on a 5/8" circle of Cranberry Crisp and adhered to the ornament with a Dimensional. I added a piece of Cranberry Crisp grosgrain ribbon, peeled the backing off the chipboard and stuck it to the box.
As always, I'd love to hear what you think. TFL - Regina
