I have had these tiles for maybe 4 years - we were going to use them for a class project and never did - THANK YOU - for the challenge today - it made me pull the tiles back out.
The burgundy ribbon was folded in half and glued together to make it narrow - then glued to the edge of the tile. You could put a hanger on the back or just display it as shown on a little display rack.
I listed this under the Sleigh Bells Ring stamp set because I thought that set would look great on a tile. TFL
