Well, I thought I'd be smart and get two challenges done with one project, so I chose colors to fit the CC141 requirements and proceeded to make a Christmas tea bag holder for TLC143. When I was getting the challenge numbers just now, I read TLC143's instructions alittle more closely and found out I wasn't supposed to use patterned paper - ooops!!! Oh well..... this doesn't quite fit the bill for TLC143 - but it was still fun to do!
Anyhow, this was a quick and easy project to make. I didn't use any stamps for this one. I used the Cuttlebug to emboss using the Sledding folder, then cut off the part with the snowman to make my main panel. I lightly chalked the snowman and sidebar of snowflakes. I matted the words and snowman, then added stitches with SU's matpack. I diecut different snowflakes and glued them down (one for the front, and 5 more line the panel that holds the teabag). I punched a small hole, threaded a piece of ribbon to be able to close the card together and used glue on the sides to make my tea bag pocket. I assembled the card front, added a piece of ribbon under the main panel and pop-dotted the snowman panel off the words. I glued down a small rhinestone crystal on the snowflake. Tied a bow with the ribbon - done!
TFL!!
Edited to add - I just realized when putting the card away that I put my words on upside down! Geez, that'll teach me not to make projects and dye my hair at the same time (I was watching the clock too much!)- LOL!
