This is for today's color challenge. The challenge was to use Purely Pomegranate, Kraft, and Whisper White. Well, I have been dying to use my new poinsettia stamp with a new poinsettia sentiment stamp that I ordered from addictedtorubberstamps.com, and I thought that Purely Pomengranate was just made for Poinsettias.
Here is how it all came together: I stamped my poinsettia three times in StazOn black and then watercolored all three images with the PP re-inker. I cut partial petals of two of the flower images and embossed each layer with clear EP, then adhered them to one another with glue dots, so they would pop up. I then dotted the center of the poinsettia with a black glaze pen to give dimension. The card base was punched out with a square punch and a piece of WW CS was adhered within the window to mat the poinsettia. The ribbon I used is from my wedding (can you believe it?) It's the satin ribbon you tie the favors with that has the couple's name and date. Well, talk about hoarding, I have had that ribbon for 20 years!!! I knew it would come in handy some day. TFL
