This card showcases one of my favorite techniques, which doesn't scan too well. A complete coloring of an image using glitter!
To do this- use a transparency or acetate sheet and stamp your image with stazon. Then using a dries clear glue (I use art institute, available from CHF or TAC) fill in each color of glitter you plan to use- always starting from the darkest color. Then, after it dries, turn it over (glitter side down) and you'll still be able to see all the lines from the stamped image.
You'll notice this one has a tiny ink smear on the egg shell :( Stazon on transparency is unfortunately impossible for me to do well- so this was my best of 5. I decided to live with it and finish up the card.
The most difficult part of this, is figuring out how to attach the transparency to the card. I like to use brads or eyelets a lot of the time, that way I don't have to glue. This time I did glue it down- and you can see the glue a bit, because I was impatient and didn't let it dry. I'm hoping maybe it will also dry clear- if not I'm going to add a stickles border to cover the glue. Maybe it could be run through a xyron (which I don't have) to achieve an even look- where at least you ALWAYS see the adhesive?
This set is one of my favorite new TAC sets, and it is unfortunately retiring.
