For a Live swap on Nov 17. The leaves are stamped on acetate, then covered with "red tape". Cut out, apply colored wire for veins and then colored microbeads. Technique makes pretty poinsettias, too. Tied on with wired ribbon. Glimmer spritz background over embossed sentiment.

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
OMG, no wonder you've gone missing for awhile. Nina these are flat out amazing. You must have the patience of a saint!
How did you adhere the "veins" ? Did you get your Cemetary cards yet?

You know me - I've got that Rice Krispy Treat philosophy. It's just great for it to look a whole lot harder than it is. The leaf is stamped on a transparency, covered with red tape and cut out. Don't tape the stem. Then peel the tape cover off and hold by that stem. Just stick the wire in the tape and then add microbeads. I blended metallic and translucent microbeads. Remember you want the tiny tiny beads that really stick. You can always top that wire with clear gel glue to make sure it stays put. Nice thing is that these leaves don't have to be flat - they bend. I'm teaching another ATC class Nov 17, so I came up something different. Silk moth looks like it will be popular. And this one would work really well done as a poinsettia, don't you think?

The key to have the right stuff for it to be easy. I made 37 of these things for a live trade, work full time and needed to develop four new atc's for an atc class the same day, with 15 kits (a kit for each student). I put all the cards down on a large piece of plastic and sprayed with glimmer sprays all at once - Assembly line! I made all the leaves at the same time too. I took a picture of the pile of leaves.
