I borrowed the Summer by the Sea stamp set from a friend so I could practice my watercoloring. I used SU! Watercolor Pencils and Aquapainter to color this serene image.
The water is highlighted with Stickles and the sentiment was stamped with Not Quite Navy ink. The image is layered on Not Quite Navy and again on So Saffron. The pretty burgundy layer is some shimmery cardstock that I picked up at The Paper Zone. I hope you can see the shimmer in the picture.
I stamped the Sanded background stamp on the card base and layered everything according to the sketch challenge.
Finally, I dug through my chipboard supply and found this pretty swirl. It reminds me of a gust of wind, so I inked it up with Not Quite Navy Craft Ink, embossed it with Iridescent Ice ep and placed it over her head. I also added three eyelets for some added interest.
I really like how this turned out and hope you do, too. I'd love to hear from you!
