We will be making this at my next Club Workshop. We are focusing on DSP since SU! has a special on it for November. This little tree is very easy to make:
1. Cut 4 squares from dsp 2 in., 2-1/2 in., 3 in., and 3-1/2 in. (Try starting with 1-1/2 in. or even 1 in. for smaller trees)
2. Fold the square in half diagonally (forming a triangle). Open and fold in half the other way. Your square should have a folded 'X'. Open it back up again.
3. Now, turn over and fold the bottom to the top forming a rectangle. Open it up again.
4. Holding the square so that the last fold is horizontal, push in on both sides on that last fold line. This should form a folded triangle with that last horizontal fold meeting inside right in the middle.
5. Take the left point of the top layer of your triange and fold it down so that the edge forms a vertical line right in the middle. Now, do the same with the point on the right, meeting the other one right in the middle.
6. Do this folding on all 4 squares, then adhere the biggest one inside the next leaving about 1/2 in. extending out. Repeat until you have the smallest one at the top.
7. I used sparkly ribbon for the tree trunk, but you could cut a small piece of brown CS or make a pot for the bottom. Add an embellishment at the top and adhere to your card.
If my instructions are too confusing, please pm me and I will send a link to a great tutorial! Thanks for taking a peek!!!
