This was inspired by my great grandmother. She was an artist and taught me to paint when I was a child and inspired all things artistic in me. I owe a big debt to you, Mimi, and I miss you.
I watercolored a desert background onto watercolor paper. When it dried, I stamped and embossed the desert scene and added some detail colors. I stamped some cactus on the terracotta c/s and used a border punch, then matted it on dk purple c/s. With watercolors, I found a scan works much better than pic; it keeps the colors truer. TFL

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.

Funny about this......when I viewed this card my first thought was...this person is an artist.....and then your story. She taught you well...this is a wonderful tribute to her. A great card!
