No, I don't eat celery dipped in chocolate! Although, I like pretty much anything dipped in chocolate! Well, I finally got to make a card for today's challenge! I spent all morning at the doctor's office thinking about what I wanted to make.
I found this really cool ribbon in the $1 bin at Michael's and I wanted to use it, so I used it as the inspiration for the colors. I used chocolate chip, certainly celery, and very vanilla cc. The very vanilla panel is cuttlebugged with the stylized flower embossing folder. I used the ticket corner punch on the corners and matted it with chocolate chip cs. The certainly celery panel is torn around the edges. The flower background is from Great Impressions and is stamped in certainly celery and whisper white, using the shadowing technique. The tutorial can be found here: http://stampinterri.typepad.com/stam...-stamping.html.
The main image panel is very vanilla and is matted in chocolate chip. I used the ticket corner punch on both panel and mat. The flower image is from the Delight in Life set, and is stamped twice directly on the very vanilla in certainly celery ink. I stamped the flower a third time on a seperate piece of vv, in chocolate chip. I watercolored the image with almost amethyst and certainly celery with the Aqua Painter. I cut it out and adhered over the first flowers with 3D mini pop dots.
I used mounting tape to adhere the ribbon strip across the bottom of the card. The hardware frame around the sentiment is attached with brads. The sentiment is stamped in chocolate chop and is from All Year Cheer II. I wanted to try to use some more hardware (do I get bonus points Roxie?!?!), so I put brads in each of the corners of the large panel and I put some brads around the top left and bottom right corners of the main image.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like it!
