This was perfect for my inspiration piece. I tore a page out of a Pottery Barn catalog - a picture of a painting on the wall. That painting had leaves or vines climbing up a brick wall, and I knew I wanted to capture that on a card.
I distressed the bricks by sponging Cocoa and a hint of Chocolate Chip here and there. It looks like dirt and mud has splashed up on the lower part of the bricks every time it rained. I wanted to keep this card in shades of brown, and the Stem Silhouettes is perfect. I didn't have to worry about coloring in any flowers or leaves.
Is this too symmetrical? This is my "right brain" tendencies coming out, as my mother would say. I'm a lefty and I like to have everything in just the right order. LOL
