This WAS going to be my Featured Stamper project, but then I added too many things for it to be comparable to my inspiration in Sweet Miss Daisy's gallery.
I covered my composition book in a combination of 2 patterns of Chatterbox Villa papers. I was planning on using the plaid and the contrasting orange on the back of the flowered piece, but I put the tacky tape on the orange side of the paper. OOPS. You work with what happens.
I sanded down the edges of the journal to distress it and tied the grosgrain ribbon to disguise the line between the 2 papers. I then sponged Close to Cocoa around the edges to make it look older than it actually is.
I then started adding accents. I stamped the flower box from Papertrey's Text Boxed in Bashful blue and added some brads to act as flower centers. I cut the box out and popped it up on dimensionals. I then stamped the individual flowers from Text Boxed in Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie, Pretty in Pink and Apricot Appeal, cut them out and taped them into place.
I then stamped my Bookwormabella in Burnt Umber Palette and colored her in with Prisma pencils. I sponged Close to Cocoa around the edges of her to distress her a little and punched the corners with the corner rounder punch.
I then stamped BOOKS in Always Artichoke (accidentally stamping the S upside down) because this is to be my book journal - where I write down the titles of all the books I read and the date I finished them.
