This was my very first gel card and it took me two days to complete... am I the only one that has spent that much time on creating a single card??? That's crazy when I think about it. And it totally didn't come together the way I thought it would. That being said, however, I am very happy with the end result.
This is for my girlfriend's son's 1st birthday party this Sunday. Not only is she one of my best friends but she was also one of my first hostesses. She's so supportive of me and my business that I just HAD to do something unique just for her.
Anyways, the card weighs like 2 pounds : ) Used tons of sticky strip for all the layers, stickles on the front fish inked the embossed layer. Also, for the water bg that the fish are in front of, I patted Tempting Turqoise Craft Ink and then embossed it with Irridescent Ice embossing powder. Don't know if that shows up in the picture.
Thanks for reading my book and for looking! Comments are always appreciated!

Wow, love the color combination! My last card took me two days to get together. it was a shaker card. Not going to make too many of those again. Dumped a whole container of micro beads on the floor in the process.

You did a great job! I love all the details, and thanks for explaining everything you did. This card had better be for someone special, since it was a labor of love! TFS.

congratulations!!! you created a wonderful piece of art. funny thing, I was up till 1am last nite making my very first gel card. It took me 4 tries to get it right so I know exactly how you feel. I will post mine later. yours is better though!!! I was too tired to get it the way I really wanted it. I will have practice though because it is actually my son's invitations for his birthday party...
I don't know where you were heading with this card, but I can't imagine it being more perfect! I love it just the way it is! Is the top layer a patterned paper, with the circles...??
