Using a thin 12x12 chipboard, I glued a first strip of 3x12 patterened paper. Cut the next three strips 4 1/2"x12". Score 1/2" along top edge and 1" at bottom edge of each one. Fold 1/2" to back and glue to paper to strengthen edge. Fold 1" bottom edge up, apply glue stick to the 1" strip that will be glued to the chipboard. Measure down 2" from top of first paper and adhere each strip this way. Cut last strip 5"x12", fold as before and adhere, lining up with bottom edge.Apply full sheet of coordinating paper to cover chipboard if desired. Sew 1/4" from each edge on sewing machine, using a longer stitch. This will hold down the sides. Attatch eyelets in top corners and knot ribbon hanger. Adhere trims to paperstrip edges as desired.I added a sticky note pad, coordinating card, pen, paperclip bookmarks and chipboard monogram. The flower could be a silk one also. A gift for a friend's new purple and lime scraproom.

This is an idea from PaperCrafts mag-9/07 issue. O forgot to include that. I've made three so far and everyone loves theirs. I liked that it used up alot of papers. Lots of room for creative interpretation !

Love both of the boards! I may have to give this a shot....so torn - do I use retired/non SU paper to use it up, or do I use current dp so people who come to stamp and see how gorgeous it is?
