This is for challenge LSC133 Non Traditional Embellishments
This card is for my grandsonÂ’s birthday today! HeÂ’ll be ten! When he was younger heÂ’d dress up in his pirateÂ’s costume to play. I have a picture of him in his costume playing . ItÂ’s one of my favorites. I made this card backwards! Yes backwards! I knew what I wanted for the inside so I made the inside first. I wanted treasure chest with hinged lids so I could but money in the chest. I also wanted the page to look like a map which I didnÂ’t have, so I stamped several images trying to get it to look like a map. ItÂ’ll do! I used my markers to color all the stamped images and sponged the land and the water. The chain is from one of those gum ball machines you put 50 cents in and get a prize. I used left over scraps from cutting out my stamp sets to lift the words and the front sail on the ship.
The background around the ship was to blank so I hand drew in some seagulls. Thanks for looking.

Just proves that you can think of a way to use anything as an embellishment, or at least those VERY creative stampers among us! Great job incorporating all those stamps into an amazing scenery!
