This is a birthday card for my son. I used alcohol inks for the background. I saw a card in the gallery by Pat_Sell. TFI! I wanted it to look like the fish was jumping out of the water.I drew a lure in the fishes mouth and colored it in with markers.

Wow, every fisherman's dream. What a great card. Remind's me of a poem I cross-stitched for my Dad called the Fisherman's Prayer:
God grant that I may live to fish
until my dying day,
And when it comes to my last cast
I then most humbly pray.
When in the Lord's safe landing net,
I'm peacefull asleep.
that in His mercy I be judged
As big enough to keep.

All the guys in my family are fisherman, my father raised me and I grew up fishing right along side of him... this is an outstanding card... since someone else left a fishing quote, Here's one I like to use on fishing cards...
There don't have to be a thousand fish in the river. Let me locate a single good one and I'll get a thousand dreams out of him before I catch him. And if I catch him, I'll let him go. -- Jim Deren
Thanks for sharing this fantastic card and making me think of my wonderful father with a rod and reel in hand and smile on his face!
