Thanks so much for your wonderful comments. I just joined Split Coast Stampers a few days ago and I'm almost as excited about it as I was when I discovered stamping in the first place!!
Anyway...here's what I did:
I used a stencil and ColorBox Harbor ink to do the moon. Then I stamped the bamboo, then the Kanji (It says happy birthday), then gold embossed the Kanji. The background paper is made my Paper House Productions and it's called 'Branch of the Seine'. I purchased it at the dollar store in Salmon Arm, B.C. (in Canada)...but I just Googled it and I see they have a website.
Any...finished it off my mounting it on black, then on blue card stock.

Thanks for your fresh input on an oriental card; it's very elegant. Isn't SplitCoast the greatest? Glad you joined. I look forward to more of your postings.
