This was so much fun to play around with and gave me the kind of crazy streaking you see in the sky when you are watching fireworks. I thought it was way too cool and the PERFECT technique for the page in the birthday book!.
First I stamped and embossed my Red & White stars on my glossy paper where I thought I wanted them. Then I did the Rubber Cement Resist
Rubber Cement Resist:
Drizzle or paint Rubber Cement all over glossy cardstock where you'd like it. Remember, whereever you drizzle/paint it will RESIST ink when it's dry! Set aside to dry. Next, take your brayer and brayer your color over top of your embossing and rubber cement until you achieve the desired color effect. Take a soft tissue (kleenex works fine as does paper towel) and wipe the ink off your embossed images. Then with your adhesive remover (or your finger if necessary but the adhesive remover seems to be easier), remove the rubber cement and see the white glossy appear beneath!
Too much fun! Will I be aging myself if I say that this is yet one more use for Rubber Cement other than making snot balls in grade school LOL
