This is a twist on Joseph's Coat techniqe. Normally, you sponge or brayer color on cardstock, stamp with Versamark, emboss in clear, then brayer black over it. Then you buff the excess ink off the embossed parts. But I got an idea from a Stampington stamp I saw recently of a snowflake that was a black block with the snowflake in white with newsprint inside it. Hmmm...so I did a little fooling around and came up with a number of pieces, each a little different. I'm not done playing with this technique...it adds so much depth! This is the second one I did; I stamped the By Definition stamp in black, stamped and embossed in clear, then rolled over it with black and red.
